I don’t want to alarm anyone…

…but there’s Football on TV this weekend. No, I’m serious.

In just five days we’ll have T.O. and the Bills go up against the Titans in the Hall of Fame Game on NBC. Granted they’ll all be just going through the motions, but it’s football, people. Nothing says “The dog days of summer are over!” like Football and a good ol’ YouTube Tuesday, and thankfully our friends from across the pond have the perfect video for it.

YTT 31 – Gravity 1, Brits 0

Tuesday, June 3rd, 2008

A cheese wheel, a steep incline, and copious amounts of alcohol. Need I say more?

YTT 30: All Hands Meeting

Tuesday, April 15th, 2008

Get your taxes done yet? Yeah, me neither.

On this crazy day we have crazy news from each of the Big 4.

NFL
ESPN will be running a two hour special on the 2009 NFL Schedule. Not the draft, but just the schedule. In April.

NBA
Riiiight, yeah I know you’re in the locker room celebrating Sixers, but I’m gonna need you to go ahead and come back out on the floor. And lose. Okay? That’d be great

MLB
Front page news on all the papers while I was in New York last week. Front page. I’m serious.

NHL
Not sure if you caught the screen that Avery put on Brodeur this weekend (1:23 in), but Senior Executive Vice President and Director of Hockey Operations for the NHL Colin Campbell sure as heck didn’t. So enraged by Avery’s actics Colin added a new section to the NHL rulebook. Mid-Playoffs.

YTT29: Mudcats Spirit Keeps Us Warm!

Today’s YTT (care of the chairman) brings me back, so I’m sharing some early athletic stats with all of you from my first (and only year) playing Little League:

– I played Catcher and couldn’t catch.
– I dropped every third strike and proceeded to either sail the throw into right field or peg the runner in the back—there was no in between.
– In one game I clocked one over the head of the Left Fielder for an inside-the-park home run. Coach moved me up in the batting order for the next game where I proceeded to strike out in every at bat.
– Everyone in the league got an award. Mine? Most Improved Player.
– We lost all every one of our games going into the season finale.

-But…

– In the last game (against another winless team), we scraped out a win, rushed the field, and piled on the pitcher. And it was awesome.

YTT28, Do it for the children!

Do you ever consider turning off your RUWT? alerts? Maybe think just watching ESPN the day after is just as good?

Sure. Go for it. If you want our society plunged into a cesspool of lies, deception, and half-truths.

Woah, Mark. What has your panties in a bunch?

Stop interrupting me and I’ll tell you what. Last night I got a High alert that Lakers v. Warriors was a 1-point game with 25 seconds on the clock, so chairmanlau and I tuned in. The end of the 4th and Overtime were freakin’ awesome until about 4 seconds left when a ref cheated us all out of a chance for double OT.

Watch SportsCenter and you’ll see one story. A happy fun time was had by all!

If you want to take the red pill, watch the second video and help grow RUWTbot’s Army.

Do it. For the children.

Ferrell v. Walton, YTT27

Yeah, I know it’s not Tuesday, but since I haven’t blogged in a while I need to catch up on our YTT‘s.

Mitchell and Boston Suck Equally, YTT26

We haven’t had a YouTube Tuesday since September? Lies!

Okay, maybe not lies, but it’s definitely a conspiracy. Just like that Mitchell Report. Go Yanks!

YTT25? Easy as pie. But which pie?

Tuesday, September 4th, 2007

Hello College Football. I’ve missed you dearly. We’re back on the YouTube Tuesday train and picking the subject of today’s video was pretty simple. The only question was which video to show? Sideline reaction? Closeup of the FG being blocked? Worthy choices both, but the one below takes the cake. I mean pie.

Going for a bike ride? Jagshemash!

I love baseball. I do. Most of my most exciting and crushingly depressing moments in sports revolve around my Yankees, but the summer of baseball is long. 82 days long, not that I’ve counted or anything. Thankfully though, there is a light at the end of the tunnel less than a week away. Seems like as good a YTT as any to peek in on the Tour de France. Yes, it’s as gripping as you thought it might be.

Steroids? Bad! Drowning All-Stars? Eh.

We’ll be starting this week’s YouTube Tuesday with a few facts care of Wikipedia.

  • Cable cars are about 12 feet tall
  • Cable cars weigh roughly 8 tons

RUWT? is all about being fair and balanced, so I’ll follow those up with some “facts” from my brain.

Given these indisputable truths, anyone see anything wrong with this commercial?
