Let’s Try Something New
On Thursday we’ll be adding two new items to RUWT?—one I’m excited about, one makes me a bit queasy.
First off, we’ll be launching an iPhone-optimized version of the site. It’s still in it’s early stages, but will let you checkout customized scores and news on your new geek hawtness.
Secondly, there’ll be a trial run of ads on the site. News to me, but there’s a limit to how many credit cards one can actually fit in a wallet, so we’re gonna give it a go.
With both of these, I’d really, really, really love to hear feedback from you guys. You can either leave a comment below or just drop me a line at mark@areyouwatchingthis.com.

When you say “i-phone” optimized…. Optimized for mobile/pocket pc, or specifically i-phone?

I think the ads are fine if it keeps RUWT chugging. So long as there are no pop up ads, this is my #1 sports score website.

savbyror: okay, i’ll see if i know anyone with something simliar and i’ll take a look at the form factor.
alex: that’s awesome to hear. and don’t worry, i can promise you there’ll never be pop-up ads on this site.

i think the ads are tastefully done. so far i’ve just been seeing the little ones on each game’s page. Some of them are actually kinda interesting – like one for a company that helps folks who want to run bars/clubs (i.e. getting liquor licenses, promotions, etc), or the one for elite athlete training programs.

Check out the cost of an issue of Sports Illustrated and count the number of ads. RUWT is a great site and I don’t mind the ads a bit.
